Yashasvi Jaiswal became the talk of the town after his spectacular performances in IPL 2023. He has a noteworthy career in the IPL 2023 where he has aggregated 625 runs in 14 fixtures at an amazing strike rate of 163.61. The strike was far greater than his IPL career strike rate of 148.73. His unforgettable stint included five fifties & one century that came in the 1000th IPL fixture at Wankhede.
He bore the fruits of his hard work after being awarded the IPL Emerging Player of the Season Award. His consistent performance helped him to secure a place in the reserve players list for the WTC 2023 Final. He also received the chance of interacting with prolific players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane & few others. Though he couldn’t make a cut to the WTC 2023 Final Playing XI he got an opportunity to learn a few skills from renowned players which he could inculcate to improvise his batting skills.

A similar golden opportunity came when Yashasvi Jaiswal got the rare chance of interacting with former India Captain MS Dhoni & he didn’t lose that golden chance. Reliving that golden moment, Yashasvi spoke about that moment in an interview where he revealed the life-changing advice Dhoni gave to Jaiswal.
“It was a great moment in my life. It was the first time I had seen Dhoni up close. I tried in the middle of games to have a conversation with him. He told me to keep playing cricket shots and keep faith in myself and keep my mind at peace. These are simple things but they are very difficult to do in real life. You need a lot of patience.”
Further Yashasvi Jaiswal also highlighted that he considers himself fortunate to live his dream & also shared the feeling of being able to entertain the followers of Cricket by his style of game.
“I only think about what I should do. I don’t think much about other things. If there are a few things that would enhance my cricket, then I would do it. I respect the game, and I feel blessed that I am doing something which I have always dreamt of. And if I am able to entertain and spread happiness with my skills, that’s great.”
He concluded by saying that if people vow after seeing the shots I play is a blessing for him. He just wants to stay humble to his game & respect what God has given to him.
