Virender Sehwag took to his Instagram handle to reveal that he has been cooking & packing food for the Migrant Labourers who have been seriously affected by the ongoing coronavirus enforced lockdown. Crores of Migrant Workers are trying their hard & travelling back to their homes since the first lockdown was enforced in the country & continue to do the same till today. Virender Sehwag decided to help those people who are in need in these testing times by providing them with sufficient meals. The satisfaction of cooking food & packing it form the comfort of your homes & getting it distributed to the neediest migrant workers in these tough times is an act of satisfaction which no other things can match”, Virender Sehwag Captioned his post on Instagram
Former India Spinner, Harbhajan Singh applauded Sehwag’s kind gesture for the migrant labourers. “Well done Lala,” Harbhajan wrote on Sehwag’s post. Young all-rounder Mayan Dagar also appreciated this lovely gesture of Sehwag & wrote, “@virendersehwag amazing gesture and contribution sir,” he said.
Virender Sehwag who always voiced out his opinions on various topics & had posted various videos & tweets on social media appealing people to stay at home & follow the guidelines that are being placed by the Government in order to curb the havoc of the Coronavirus.
Currently, due to the ongoing Pandemic, all the major sporting events across the world have been cancelled or postponed, the BCCI had also postponed the 13th edition of the IPL as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic. In India, there are about 7,466 new novel coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours which take the total number of cases to over 1,65,000.
