Amid Coronavirus Pandemic the sudden demise of Jock Edwards has shocked the entire cricket fraternity. Former New Zealand Wicketkeeper Jock Edwards died at an age of 64.
Jock Edwards scored 377 runs in eight test matches which he played and in the ODI format, he played 6 ODIs and scored 138 runs. Edwards made his test debut in the home test series against Australia in 1976-1977 as a specialist batsman before taking the wicketkeeping duties. He played the last of eight test matches against India in 1981.
In his first ODI match, he made almost 41 runs from 57 deliveries as an opener batsman to help New Zealand to hail nine wicket win against India in Christchurch. Jock Edwards played six ODIs between 1976 and 1981.
