


Amid the ongoing lockdown, there has been an increase in the number of Domestic Violence Cases & Child Abuse Cases. Looking at these whopping numbers, Suresh Raina expressed his concern over the rising cases of domestic violence and child abuse.
During this forced break, Suresh Raina is very active on Social media. Raina has earlier appealed to the citizens of the country to follow the guidelines that have been laid down by the Government to combat the COVID-19 Pandemic. In his latest Twitter Post, Raina has highlighted the issue of child abuse and domestic violence which have risen significantly during the lockdown period around the world.
In the tweet, Suresh Raina said, “Lockdown has taught us various ways to love and appreciate our blessings and different ways to bond with our family. Though it’s disturbing to read how significantly the number of child abuse and domestic violence cases have grown across the world. I appeal to anyone who is facing domestic violence to reach our for help and don’t shut yourself”.
The CSK batsman & his wifey Priyanka Chaudhary Raina were blessed with their second child last month. The couple has a younger daughter, Gracia Raina who took birth in the year 2016. Suresh has been spending a good time with his family as all the sporting activities have been suspended across the Globe.
In the first week of March, Suresh along with his CSK teammates was practicing for the upcoming IPL league. However, Raina had to return home just like most of the sports-persons as the IPL league got postponed indefinitely to fight against the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Suresh Raina is the star batsman of the IPL league. He has been featured in 193 IPL matches since 2008. The left-handed batsman has scored 5,368 runs in the IPL league with an average of 33.34 and a strike rate of 131.14. Suresh, who is also a part-time bowler who has grabbed 25 wickets in his IPL career.
