


In the current situation of panic which is created due to the outspread of deadly COVID-19, each and every celebrity is reaching out to the masses through social media and making them aware of how they can protect themselves from Coronavirus. Recently Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma shared a video message on their Instagram account addressing people to ‘stay at home and stay healthy’.
India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the entire nation speaking about how we can collectively fight with Coronavirus by staying at home, he asked people to practice “Janta Curfew” on Sunday, 22nd March whereby people are requested to stay at their homes and self-isolate from the world around. This is one of an effective measure to fight against novel COVID-19 which is transmitted through social gatherings. Anushka Sharma on her Instagram ID shared a video message in which she along with Virat Kohli requested the people to stay safe by staying at home and practicing self-isolation in this tough situation. She further said in the video that the only way to stop the spread of deadly coronavirus is ‘by acting together’.
Whereas Anushka’s hubby and our Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has tweeted on Thursday night appealed to the citizens to follow Prime Minister’s safety measure in order to stay safe and fight against the novel Coronavirus.
Kohli tweeted, “Be alert, attentive and aware to combat the threat posed by Covid 19. We, as responsible citizens, need to adhere to the norms put in place for our safety as announced by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModiji. #IndiaFightsCorona”.
Kohli in his second tweet thanked all the medical professionals of the country and all over the world for their effortless dedication towards the safety of the people in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The Indian cricket team captain wrote, “Also, special mention to all the medical professionals in the country and around the globe for all the efforts being put in to fight the #CoronaVirus. Let’s support them by taking care of ourselves and everybody around us by maintaining good personal hygiene. #IndiaFightsCorona.”
Deadly coronavirus outbreak has resulted in the cancellation of various sporting events all around the globe. Right from French Open to Euro 2020, major sporting events have been postponed. India’s most awaited IPL series which was scheduled to commence from March 29 has been postponed till April 15. The England cricket board has also suspended the Test Series against Sri-Lanka which was supposed to start from the end of this month. Also, the three-match ODI series between South Africa and India has been called off due to the outbreak of Coronavirus!
