


Amid COVID-19 Pandemic when the entire country is sitting at home, the most affected people are the poor who are jobless due to lockdown. To ease their burden, Sachin Tendulkar has pledged to feed 5000 people for one month as the country is suffering through Coronavirus Pandemic.
A non-profit organization named Apnalaya confirmed on Twitter the kind gesture of Sachin Tendulkar and went on to Thank the legendary cricketer for his contribution. “Thank you, @sachin_rt for stepping in and helping Apnalaya to help the people who are suffering the most during the ongoing lockdown. He will be taking care of the ration of around 5000 people for a month. There are many more needy people who need your support”, Apnalaya’s Official handle tweeted.
To this tweet, Sachin Tendulkar replied by saying, “My best wishes to @ApnalayaTweets to continue your selfless work in the service of the distressed and needy people. Keep up with your good work”.
Not also this but also in march, Tendulkar had donated Rs 25 lakhs each to the PM-CARES relief fund and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra’s Relief Fund to help to win the battle against COVID-19
Various sports athletes and cricketers have come forward to help the country to fight the battle against coronavirus Pandemic.
Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday said that India’s total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 6,761. Out of this 6039 are active cases, 516 have been cured or discharged or migrated and 206 have died so far.
