However progressing further they got back on track with Padikkal (52 off 34), Samson (22 off 15), and Jurel (34 off 16) returning with crucial runs. But still, they fell short of eight runs in the end. Heading into this clash Buttler would aim to get back to form so that he could join hands with Yashaswi & post a mammoth score in the initial overs. Hetmyer who has failed to hit the straps in the last two fixtures would aim to get back to form in this crucial fixture against CSK.

CSK under the leadership of MS Dhoni has occupied the top spot at the Points Table by winning their last three fixtures in a trot. They would aim to continue their winning spree against Rajasthan Royals in today’s fixture. In their previous fixture against KKR CSK got off to a perfect start with bat in hand. On the back of Rahane’s 71 off 29 balls along with Dube & Convey’s half-centuries CSK posted a massive 235 runs on board. In the second innings of the fixture, bowlers capitalized on the batters’ performance by sclaping back-to-back Wickets & restricting KKR from chasing the target. As a result, CSK won the fixture by 49 runs. Matheesha Pathirana was their standout bowler who scalped just one wicket for 27 runs.
