


India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will miss Chennai Super Kings’ six day camp ahead of the team’s departure to UAE for the IPL 2020. The camp is scheduled to commence from August 15 & 20 in Chennai.
All the other squad members of the franchise such as MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina & Ambati Rayudu will attend the this six day training camp which will focus on fitness along with some crucial cricket training. By explaining the reason for Jadeja’s absence CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan said “He has personal commitments”.
However Jadeja will reach Chennai at the time of boarding the flight to Dubai on August 21. Vishwanathan also said that the Tamil Nadu State Government has given a written permission to the CSK to conduct the camp at the MA Chidambaram Stadium behind closed doors. Bowling Coach L Balaji is the only member of the Coaching staff that will be present at the training camp.
Head coach Stephen Fleming & assistant coach Michael Hussey will join the CSK squad in Dubai by August 22. CSK team management is looking forward for two South African players FAF du Plessis and Lungi Ngidi to join the squad after September 1.
“When we spoke to FAF and Ngidi they said yes, we are coming. They have said that they will only be coming after September 1,” Viswanathan said. Whereas the third South African Player Imran Tahir will join the squad after taking part in the Caribbean League in Trinidad.
Viswanathan also said that the Eric Simons (bowling consultant) & Greg King (physical trainer) will join the squad in Dubai on August 21. The 13th edition of the IPL will be played for 53 days from September 19th to November 10th across three venues i.e. Abu Dhabi, Sharjah & Dubai.
The Emirates Cricket Board had also confirmed that they have received Official Clearance from the BCCI to host the IPL 2020. So all the cricket lovers get ready to witness all the action on field with your favorite cricketers performing in the IPL 2020.
