Ashwin has finally given an update on Bumrah’s Injury. After the release of the schedule, Ashwin talked with the media. While speaking about the World Cup 2023 schedule, Ashwin also shed some light on Bumrah’s return. He said that there are chances that Prasidh Krishna and India’s top fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will return for ODI World Cup 2023. He also said that IND vs PAK fixtures would be in the limelight of the marquee event. He also said that fans could expect a blockbuster as both the teams have a quality seam attack and the return of Bumrah would be a major positive for the Indian team.

Bumrah has been out of action since September 2022 due to a recurring back injury. He has missed all three IND vs PAK T20Is two during the Asia Cup 2023 and one at the T20 World Cup 2023. But now after completing his rehabilitation he is all set to return for Asia Cup 2023. He will play all three scheduled fixtures against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023.
