Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best player of the Mumbai Indians franchise & in five years from his debut he became one of the three players who has been retained by the franchise ahead of the mega auction in 2018.
While injury had kept him away from cricket since half year of 2019. However the right hand pacer has returned to action for team India this year & is now set to play for Mumbai Indians in the UAE where the IPL 2020 will be held. The extended break for Jasprit first due to injury & then due to the COVID-19 pandemic could be “the calm before the storm” as Mumbai Indians franchise put in the post where Bumrah is seen plugging his headphones while relaxing on his armchair.
Bumrah has an interesting IPL career by grabbing 82 wickets from 77 matches for the franchise at an economy rate of 7.55 & finished with 19 wickets from 16 matches in Mumbai’s title winning match in 2019. Headed by Rohit Sharma Mumbai Indians are the only franchise to win IPL title for four times & would look forward to add bag IPL’s title for fifth time when IPL starts from September 19 in the UAE.
The league has been scheduled in UAE this year due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in India & restrictions on travel & movement imposed by the central & state governments. The IPL finals is likely to be held on November 10 & the tournament will be played across three venues Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Sharjah.
