During the current pandemic situation when the sporting events in the country is at a standstill, Dhoni’s die-hard fans keep on scrolling their social media to just get a glimpse of their favorite player but their efforts have failed. However, on Friday the former Indian captain made a rare appearance on social media in a viral video shared by fans. Dhoni’s IPL franchise CSK also shared a video on their social media platforms including Twitter & Instagram. “The much-needed pawsitivity at 7! #Thala @msdhoni #WhistlePodu,” CSK captioned the video.
In the video, Dhoni can be seen in a new look which became the talk of the point. In the video, Dhoni is seen waving towards someone while looking at the screen which seems like a video call. The moment CSK posted the Video it became an instant hit among his followers & they flooded the post with myriad comments with many praising his new looks while others hoping to see him back on the pitch & do what he is born to hit fours & sixes.
Dhoni hasn’t played any International Cricket since July last year & was supposed to return to the pitch during this year’s IPL but unfortunately, the IPL got postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus. The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is yet to make any final decision whether the tournament will be conducted this year or not. Ganguly, during one of his interviews, said that if the situation permits they would definitely want to conduct the IPL, as it is a very important tournament for the country. “We don’t want the year 2020 to finish without an IPL. Our first priority is India and even if we get 35 to 40 days, we will host it. But we don’t know where…,” Ganguly said on India Today show ”Inspiration”.
If the BCCI manages to conduct the tournament either in India or Overseas then no one will be happier than the Dhoni fans who have been waiting for a year to see their favorite player back in action on the field.
