Match 56 of IPL 2023 was no less than a treat for cricket fans as some unbelievable records were made & broken during the fixture. RR’s prolific spinner Yuzvendra Chahal became the highest wicket-taker in IPL history during their first innings. Records continued to tumble with Yashasvi Jaiswal smashing the second-highest number of runs in the first over in IPL history. The emerging star of World Cricket, Jaiswal smashed Rana for 26 runs in the first over of their innings.
Defending 149 runs total, Nitish Rana begins KKR’s bowling attack in order to provide his side with a breakthrough. However, the move didn’t turned out in KKR’s favor as Rana was smashed for a massive 26 runs in the first over of the innings. Jaiswal welcomed Rana with a huge long-on six which stamped his authority against Rana right on the first ball of the innings. Jaiswal didn’t spare the second ball either by smashing it for another maximum making his intentions clear. He went on to smash consecutive fours on the third & fourth delivery & ended Rana;s over with another six.
There was no stopping for Yashasvi Jaiswal who continued his onslaught in the second over also by smashing Harshit Rana for a four & a six. Jaiswal was already in a mood to create a history as he smashed hattrick of boundaries in the third over to register the fastest fifty in the history of IPL. He stunned everyone by bringing up 50 runs in just 13 balls breaking the record of KL Rahu; & Pat Cummins who achieved the feat in 14 balls. It was Jasiwal’s blitzkrieg with the bat that helped RR to end powerplay overs on 78-1. Jaiswal stayed unbeaten throughout the innings and ended their innings by scoring 98 runs off 47 balls with 13 fours & five sixes. He got a valuable support from Captain who too stayed unbeaten at 49 runs off 29 balls. The duo guided Rajasthan over the line in 13.1 overs.
