The IPL 2023 is becoming more fierce & entertaining with each passing day. And one common thing which can be witnessed throughout the cash-rich league is that whenever CSK is playing a fixture at an away venue a plethora of people can be seen donning CSK jerseys. No matter whether it’s Wankhede or Eden Gardens, CSK fans turn up for the fixture in large numbers & support their favorite team to a great extent. One major reason behind such a huge fan following is CSK’s Captain MS Dhoni.
The moment when ‘Thala’ come to bat on the crease fans starts cheering for their God. Not only this but even players & viewers have witnessed unusual scenes during CSK fixtures. Whenever Ravindra Jadeja gets dismissed CSK fans erupt in joy & started roaring. This is because MS Dhoni bats in the lower order & whenever any batter before Dhoni gets dismissed fans starts cheering as they will get to witness Dhoni’s game with the bat. CSK’s last fixture against Delhi Capitals witnessed similar scenes as the crowd roared in joy when Rayudu got dismissed because they are aware that everyone’s favorite Dhoni will come next to bat.
Ravindra Jadeja received the highest cheer whenever he got dismissed in the IPL 2023 so far. Ravindra Jadeja also highlighted the same while receiving the ‘Player of the Match’ Award on Wednesday. He spoke about the same & revealed that the crowd is disappointed whenever he comes ahead of Dhoni to bat & gets happy whenever he is dismissed.
“As a spinner, it feels great if the ball is stopping and turning. Because we practice here, we know what length and what pace to bowl. That is our home advantage. When I bat at 7, the crowd is disappointed and chants for Mahi bhai. Imagine if I bat higher; they will just wait for me to get out,” Jadeja said in the post-match presentation ceremony while speaking with Murali Karthik.
