The entire nation is traumatized after the tragic train accident in Odisha & many cricketers have come forward to extend their support for the victims. And among them is Virender Sehwag who came forward to help the children who lost their parents in the tragic train accident & offered them free education at Sehwag International School’s boarding facility. Over 288 people were found dead & over 1000 injured in the horrific train collision accident.
Sehwag took to Twitter & shared pictures of the heart-wrenching incident. He wrote, “This image will haunt us for a long time. In this hour of grief, the least I can do is to take care of the education of children of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident. I offer such children free education at Sehwag International School’s boarding facility.”
Several other cricketers such as Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, VVS Laxman, Shikhar Dhawan & Virat Kohli expressed their heartfelt condolences to the victims & families. Apart from Sehwag, the renowned business tycoon Gautam Adani has also announced free education for the children who lost their parents in the train accident.
“We all are deeply distressed by the Orissa train accident. We have decided that the Adani group will take responsibility for the school education of the innocent people who have lost their parents in this accident. It is the joint responsibility of all of us to provide strength to the victims and their families and better tomorrow for the children,” Adani wrote on his Twitter handle.
Odisha’s Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik extended help to Odisha Train Accident Victim
Meanwhile, Odisha’s chief minister, Naveen Patnaik has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for victim families who lost their lives in tragic accident & 1 lakh for those who got injured in train accident. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also announced a sum of 10 lakh for the people affected by the train accident while the PM’s Office has declared 2 lakh for families who lost their close ones in the accident. Following the disastrous accident, the Railways Minister has sought a probe by the CBI into the collision.
The train accident took place near the Bahanaga Bazar Station in Odisha’s Balasore. The accident involved three trains named Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and a goods train. As per the railway Officials around 3,400 passengers were travelling from these two trains.
