RR vs CSK: Match 37 of the IPL 2023 witnessed another nerve-triggering fixture when Rajasthan Royals locked horns with Chennai Super Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Though it was the home ground of RR half of the crowd was seen donning yellow jerseys & the reason behind it is known to everyone, it’s none other than MS Dhoni. No matter wherever CSK plays they get immense support from the home crowd the only reason is MS Dhoni.
Pointing out Dhoni’s fan following, Sanju Samson said that he hoped to see the entire stadium donned in pink. But not to his surprise he could see a maximum of people wearing yellow jerseys & cheering MS Dhoni & Co.
“We would like to bat first. We like to stick to our strength, which is to defend. It feels really great to play RR’s 200th game, feels great to be playing for 10 years. Would love to see some pink here today, but it’s yellow and we know that the reason is (smiles),” said Samson at the toss.
RR highlighted one major change in the lineup. Samson said that Trent Boult will miss the fixture due to a niggle & in his place, Adam Zampa will play in the Playing XI.
“Boult misses out due to a niggle, Zampa is playing in his place,” Samson added.
The absence of Boult will be felt by Rajasthan as he has been one of the exemplary bowlers for the franchise. He has consistently picked wickets for RR & has been absolutely the best with the new ball. Boult is the second-highest wicket-taker for RR by scalping nine wickets in six innings at an average of 21.22 and an economy of 7.95. On the other hand, Zampa has played just two matches for the franchise returning with two wickets.

CSK are the table toppers after winning seven out of five fixtures. In addition to this, they are coming into this fixture on a three-match winning streak & look quite confident ahead of this fixture. While Rajasthan has lost their last two matches & is placed third on the Points Table with just four wins from seven matches. They look a little weak in front of table-toppers & could lose the fixture if they fail to build an early momentum
