KKR’s star batter Rinku Singh has revealed special advice he has received from the one & only MS Dhoni. He said that MS Dhoni who is one of the best finishers in World Cricket has advised him not to think much & play shots according to the balls. Rinku Singh is KKR’s one of the key performers & with each passing fixture he is turning himself as a finisher by playing some crucial knocks for the franchise.
He is also leading run-scorer for KKR franchise by amssing 337 runs at an average of 56.16 at a strike rate of 151.12. He is playing the role of a perfect finisher in almost every fixture. Who can forget Rinku Singh’s heroics in Gujarat Titans fixture where he ended up smashing five sixes in five deliveries, guiding KKR to a nervy win. Trying to develop himself as one of the best finisher of World Cricket, Rinku Singh tried to get some tips from world’s best finisher i.e. MS Dhoni. He got some valuable tips from Dhoni who advised him to play shots as per deliveries & not overdo anything.
Just don’t think much, advised Dhoni to Rinku Singh
“He’s the world’s best finisher I just asked ‘Bhaiya’ what else I could do while I’m going to bat. He just told me don’t think much, just wait for the ball and play according to it,” Rinku was quoted as saying by India Today.
Rinku who is in sublime touch has been smashing shots at a massive strike rate of 200 in the last over of the innings. “I want to play simple shots. I don’t want to play extravagant shots. I play according to balls and as per the situation. All players work on their own shots, and I try to be very simple,” he added.
Talking about KKR’s position at the Points table they are occupying sixth spot. They will have to win every fixture to stay alive in the race of Playoffs. KKR is currently locking horns with RR in a fiery clash. If they win this fixture they will automatically move at the third spot on the Points Table. However, a loss will put their chances to qualify for the playoffs in jeopardy.
