KKR’s star batter Rinku Singh attended Premier Handball League to support his home team, the Golden Eagles UP at the iconic Sawai Mansingh indoor stadium in Jaipur on Friday, June 16. The match involved the Golden Eagles of UP locking horns with Rajasthan Patriots.
Rinku said that he is happy to be at the stadium supporting his home team. He further revealed that he has been following the inaugural season of the Premier Handball League right from the first fixture itself & hopes that it will help the sport to reach new heights of success going forward.
“Handball is such a dynamic sport and is a treat to watch live. I am glad to be here and support my home team, the Golden Eagles,” said Rinku as quoted by My Khel.
“I have been following the Premier Handball League since the first matchday and all the matches have been highly entertaining. I am sure the league will help elevate the status of the sport in the nation and will also help India extract its true potential in Handball,” he added.
The Golden Eagles suffered a massive 27-36 defeat against Rajasthan in the fixture. They have just one victory in six fixtures & occupy the bottom spot at the Points Table.
A Glimpse of Rinku Singh’s Achievements
Rinku Singh has amassed 474 runs in 14 fixtures, at an average of 59.25 & a strike rate of 149.53 in the recently ended IPL 2023. He had won fixtures single-handedly for KKR & won millions of hearts. Who could forget Rinku’s stunning 5 sixes haul which helped KKR to win a crucial fixture against Gujarat Titans. Rinku smashed Yash Dayal’s over for five consecutive sixes guiding KKR to a gleaming win over GT. The stunning knock helped Rinku to earn widespread praise & cement his place as a finisher in the KKR squad. On the back of Rinku’s heroics, he might get a call-up to the National team.
