RCB vs KKR: KKR batter Jason Roy was fined 10% of his match fee for breaching the IPL code of conduct during 36 match of the IPL 2023 against RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Roy committed a level 1 offense of the IPL Code of Conduct Article 2.2 & the umpire’s decision for the level 1 code of conduct offenses is termed as final & binding. The Article 2.2 of the IPL code of conduct indicated a player’s action which is not in compliance with the spirit of the game. Jason Rop accepted the charges & thus there is no need for a formal hearing.
RCB vs KKR: Kolkata ended their losing streak by defeating RCB by 21 runs
KKR displayed a sheer game of determination & outclassed RCB in their home fixture to break their losing streak. Jason Roy played an integral role in KKR’s win by playing a blistering knock of 56 runs off 29 balls while opening the innings for his side. He smashed RCB bowlers across the park & helped KKR to post a decent 200 runs total on board.
Jason kickstarted KKR’s innings with a formidable 83-run stand for the first wicket with N Jagadeesan. But their happiness couldn’t last long as Vijaykumar Vyshak removed both the set batters in the 10th over reducing KKR to 88-2. Later Captain Nitish Rana (48 off 21) & Venkatesh Iyer (31 off 26) stitched another 80-run stand. In the end, Rinku’s quick cameo of 18 off 10 balls & Wiese’s 12 off 3 balls meant KKR ended their innings at 200 runs total.
