Ace Indian Prithvi Shaw is certainly going through one of the most rough patches in his promising career. Shaw is under the heat on the cricket field for poor form as well as off the field as he is facing legal action against him.
Prithvi Shaw has been under the radar at the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023 for his inconsistent stint. He represents the Delhi Capitals franchise which is highly concerned about his poor run. Shaw has managed to score only 47 runs in the six matches played so far.
Due to his below-average performance, he was excluded from Delhi’s squad in their fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad last night. Shaw was replaced by frontline batsman Phil Salt who turned out to be a viable wicket-keeping option. Notably, the Delhi Capitals managed to survive a tough scare and powered a solid victory.
Sapna Gill issues a fresh complaint against Prithvi Shaw with Police
It seems that Prithvi’s escalated personal tensions off the field are severely impacting his professional career. Shaw was reportedly involved in a controversial fight against influencer Sapna Gill in Mumbai. Sapna had raised a fresh complaint with the Police Department to take action against the cricketer.
Notably, the complaint of Sapna Gill possesses a serious threat to Prithvi Shaw. Shaw and his friend Surendra Yadav have been charged with grievous criminal charges. Gill has accused Prithvi and his counterpart of allegations of serious crime in a public place, including molesting, physically assaulting her with a deadly weapon and outraging her modesty.
Sapna also claimed that Shaw had reportedly touched her breast inappropriately and this was also regarded as serious misconduct. Complaints against Shaw have been registered under IPC Sections 354, 509, and 324. Sapna claimed that she was hit by a bat as well and has submitted the necessary evidence of a government hospital to the Andheri Magistrate. Shaw will now have to present himself in front of the court which will likely ascertain the future of his legal proceedings.
