Major League Cricket franchise, Seattle Orcas has acquired the services of Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder, Sikandar Raza for the inaugural edition of the league. The maiden season of MLC is all set to be played from July 13 at the Grand Prairie Stadium, in Grand Prairie, Texas. The inaugural edition is all set to kickstart in less than 2 months & ahead of the beginning of the inaugural edition the franchise has bolstered its lineup by signing Sikandar Raza.

Talking about Sikander Raza’s recent stint he is having a fantastic season in the IPL 2023 as he has played in seven matches amassing 139 runs with three wickets in his kitty. He has featured in 179 T20Is scoring 3485 runs with 21 half-centuries & 90 wickets in his kitty in 135 innings.
Seattle franchise bolster their lineup with the inclusion of top-draw cricketers
Along with Raza, the franchise has also signed Sri Lanka’s white ball specialist Danuka Shanuka. Wayne Parnell, Quinton de Kock, and Mitchell Marsh are other inclusions to the squad. The team is closely related to IPL team, Delhi Capitals as their co-owner GMR Group buying a stake in the Seattle franchise.
GMR has associated with other groups of investors including Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, to run the franchise. Mumbai Indians, New York, Washington Freedom, San Francisco Unicorns, Los Angeles Knight Riders, and Texas Super Kings are other teams that will participate in the Major League Cricket in the USA.
MLC will begin on July 13 with 19 fixtures to be played among six teams across 18 days. The finals of MLC will be played on July 30 in Texas in the USA.
