IRE vs BAN: Ireland is gearing up for a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh which contains crucial World Cup Super League Points. The series will be crucial for South Africa who is occupying eigth spot at the World Cup Super League Points Table. If Bangladesh win the fixture then they would earn a direct qualification to the World Cup 2023. However if Ireland registers a series white-wash by 3-0 then they would earn a direct qualification for ODI World Cup 2023.
How is the Qualification Scenario looks like?
Ireland & Bangladesh are all set to lock horns in three match ODI series against Bangladesh which is a part of World Cup Super League Series. urrently, seven teams have qualified for the ODI World Cup 2023 & just one eighth spot is left to be filled. South Africa is currently hanging at the eighth spot at the Points Table with 98 Points & a NRR of 0.077. While Ireland is placed at the 11th spot with 68 points & NRR of -0.382.
Proteas direct qualifictaion hopes depends on Bangladesh as if they maange to beat Ireland in this series then South Africa will directly get qualified for the marquee event. On the other hand Ireland has to beat Bangladesh by 3-0 to earn a direct qualification for ODI World Cup 2023. Not only this they will have a huge task of defeating Bangladesh with a huge margin in any of the three fixtures if they aim to march ahead of South Africa at the Points Table. Bangladesh looks strong & favorite to win as they are marching into this series on the back of 2-0 ODI series win against Ireland held in March 2023.
