IPL 2023: There comes a sigh of relief for CSK as their star bowler Deepak Chahar who was out in CSK’s last two fixtures due to a hamstring injury has attained fitness & returns back to the field. Recently the pacer has shared a post on social media where he can be seen showcasing his bowling skills.
The moment Chahar shared the video on Instagram fans got overwhelmed & expressed their happiness at the return of Chahar to the field. Chahar’s comeback is a major boon for CSK who were already struggling in the absence of their powerplay specialist pacer. However, the chances of Chahar participating in the CSK vs SRH clash seem low. This is because the pacer is recovering from his injury & management might not want to rush him immediately after stepping back from injury.
For the unversed, Deepak Chahar sustained a hamstring injury during CSK’s clash against Mumbai Indians on April 8 & since then he has been ruled out of action. His return was unlikely as the medical experts stated that his return can be assured only after further scans & assessment. However, after missing two fixtures & staying out of action for more than a week Chahar’s return to the field is a major positive for the CSK team. There are chances that the pacer would feature in CSK’s upcoming fixtures.

Deepak Chahar has been an integral part of CSK’s setup for the last few years. Notably, he missed IPL 2022 due to a back injury & his absence was felt by the team very badly as he was the one who was responsible to scalp wickets in powerplay overs. And an injury right in the initial phase of the tournament posed doubts over his participation in the remaining phase of the league. But with the pacer taking small steps towards recovering & returning to net sessions came a ray of hope for both the player & the franchise. He would soon be completely match-ready & will feature in the upcoming fixtures of IPL 2023.
Coming to CSK they have won three out of five fixtures played till now. The Chennai-based franchise is gearing up to lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK who are on a winning spree would aim to continue their good run heading into this fixture while SRH registered their maiden win of the tournament by defeating KKR by 23 runs in the previous clash and would aim to add a few more wins in their kitty.
