IND vs WI 2023: BCCI has already announced ODI & Test Squads for West Indies Series & now the talks are going around about the T20I team which is yet to be released. Though now the focus is on T20Is the selectors have already started the preparation of building a strong t20I team by naming Hardik Pandya as Captain in T20Is. Now another big update right from the house of BCCI is the inclusion of IPL stalwart Rinku Singh in the T20Is.
The call-up for Rinku Singh came due to the inability of Dinesh Karthik to continue his form as a finisher. And with Rishabh Pant being injured, the attention has been turned to KKR star Rinku Singh. The left-handed batter grabbed the limelight after his outstanding show in the IPL 2023. He amassed 474 runs at a strike rate of 150 averaging 59.
Why Rinku Singh could receive a call-up to the T20I Squad?
The Indian team is searching for a perfect candidate to fulfill the role of a finisher in T20Is as Dinesh Karthik has failed to perform in IPL 2023. With Hardik batting in higher order, the place of a finisher in the T20Is needs to be filled with an ideal candidate. And here comes an opportunity for Rinku to prove his prowess who has consecutively performed in pressure conditions during IPL 2023. His ability to perform at different kinds of pitches & chase targets in dire conditions has forced selectors to consider him for T20Is.
IND vs WI 2023: Mohammed Shami might return in T20Is Plans

The stunning bowler created a mark with 28 wickets in his kitty helping Gujarat Titans to reach the finals. With Bhuvneshwar Kumar out of the plans, Shami will likely return to the T20I squad. Mohammed Shami’s swashbuckling performances in all formats made him India’s go-to-bowler. Whether it’s Rohit or Hardik the captains have trusted him to deliver in dire situations. And Shami has delivered time & again when the team needed his services. After grueling months of action, Mohammed Shami has been rested from the Test & ODI series against West Indies.
