India’s domestic season 2023-24 is all set to begin with the Duleep Trophy. And there comes big news for Hanuma Vihari who will try to make an impact by leading the South Zone team. Duleep Trophy will be played among six teams such as the North, South, East, West, Central & North East Zones. The entire tournament will now be played in Bangalore.
Notably, the tournament will be just five fixtures long with the finalists of the previous season earning a direct qualification to the semi-finals. While the rest four teams will compete in the two quaterfinals to book a place in the semi-finals. The winners of these two quaterfinals will book a spot in the semi-finals where they will face West & South Zones in the Duleep Trophy final.
Duleep Trophy 2023 Quaterfinals to commence from June 28
The Duleep Trophy 2023 tournament will commence on June 28 with Central Zone team locking horns with East Zone team in the first quarterfinal. On the other hand, North Zone will lock horns with North East Zone in the secodn quarterfinal. The finals of Duleep Trophy 2023 will begin on July 12 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
On the other hand, West Zone emerged victorious in Duleep Trophy 2022 final after defeating South Zone by 294 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal & Sarfaraz Khan were the show stoppers of last season & it would be worth noting which team would emerge victorious in the upcoming season of Duleep Trophy.
