Delhi Capitals Preview
Delhi Capitals are coming into this clash on the back of two consecutive wins in their last two fixtures against KKR & SRH. They would aim to continue the same momentum against SRH when they will face them today at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
In their last fixture against SRH, DC failed to post a good total on board. It was the match-saving knocks of Manish Pandey (34 off 27) & Axar Patel (34 off 34) that they posted 144 run total on board. Later DC’s bowling attack came to their rescue & defended the target of 145 runs. Nortje & Axar scalped two wickets each to put pressure on SRH batters & helped their side to register a nervy seven-run win. In the batting department, the good form of Warner is a major positive for them. Manish Pandey, Yash Dhull & Axar Patel should produce vital cameos to help the side post a formidable total on board.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview
SRH have lost three matches in succession & winning this fixture is a priority for them. In their previous fixture against Delhi, their bowlers did a good job with Bhuvneshwar returning with two wickets in his spell of four overs by conceeding just 11 runs. Sundar who bowled a brilliant spell by scalping three wickets has been ruled out of the league due to an injury. It was all because of bowlers’ efforts that Delhi could post just 144 runs on board.
However, their batters failed to capitalize on their bowling attack & lost the match by seven runs. Except for Mayank Agarwal (49 off 39) & Heinrich Klaasen (31 off 19) none of their batters could actually return to scoring terms. They will have to step up & deliver with the willow if they aim to continue in the race of playoffs. They will try to get back to winning terms after three consecutive defeats by winning this fixture against Delhi Capitals.
