Former India Cricketer, Ambati Rayudu is all set to kickstart the second phase of his career after retiring from all forms of Cricket. The swashbuckling Andhra-born cricketer is all set to join politics & is likely to contest Lok Sabha Elections. The 37-year-old met with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, twice in recent times. Notably, Reddy is also the head of YSRCP. The Chief Minister of Andhra wants Rayudu to contest in the next polls.
As per the latest report in Times of India, Rayudu might contest in the polls but it is yet to be confirmed whether he will contest in the assembly or Lok Sabha. The senior politicians in the YSRCP think the cricketer should either contest from Ponnur or Guntur West segments for assembly polls & for Lok Sabha he should choose Machilipatnam,
Further, the swashbuckling cricketer Rayudu praised CM for being a big inspiration for youngsters who want to enter politics.
“CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is a big inspiration for youngsters entering politics. He is spearheading development in all the regions instead of concentrating on one area,” the cricketer was quoted as saying by News 18.
Ambati Rayudu to next feature in MLC 2023 for Texas Super Kings
Ambati Rayudu who has also called time on his IPL career with the 2023 season will be next seen in action during the MLC 2023 in the USA. Rayudu will be playing for Texas Super Kings which is CSK’s wing. He will team up with overseas players Devon Conway, Dwayne Bravo, David Miller, Mitchell Santner, Gerald Coetzee, & daniel Sams. Former South Africa Captain, FAF Du Plessis will lead the Texas-based franchise in MLC 2023. The MLC 2023 will be played from July 14 to July 31 & will be held across two venues in the USA.
