CSK’s viral cog Ambati Rayudu has taken to social media to decline the reports of taking a dig at legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar over his comments on Rayudu after the CSK vs RR Clash. For the unversed, Sunil Gavaskar was not happy with the fact that Rayudu didn’t do fielding against Rajasthan Royals despite being used as an Impact Player.
Talking about Rayudu’s form he is going through a lean phase in the ongoing IPL 2023 as in eight fixtures he could amass 83 runs for an average of 16.60. And just after RR vs CSK fixture Rayudu shared a tweet opening up on his dismal run in the ongoing IPL 2023.
“In life and sport ups and downs are a constant part. We need to be positive and keep working hard and things will turn around. Results are not always a measure of our effort. So always keep smiling and enjoy the process,” Rayudu tweeted.
But just a few moments later he shared the tweet fans started speculating that Rayudu has taken a dig over Sunil Gavaskar’s comments. To end the growing speculations Ambati Rayudu shared another tweet claiming that his tweet was not directed towards Gavaskar & ridicule the reports of him taking a dig at legendary cricketer.
“What nonsense… my tweet has nothing to do with the great Mr (Sunil) Gavaskar’s comments. His opinions are well respected and in regard to my fielding. A player doesn’t decide if he wants to field or not,” Rayudu tweeted.
CSK suffered a 32-run defeat against RR, dropping down to the third spot at the Points Table
Coming to the match, Jaiswal & Buttler’s 83-run opening stand helped Rajasthan Royals to post 203 runs total on board. In reply, while defending the total Zampa & Ashwin produced a fiery bowling spell that derailed CSK’s innings. As a result, CSk’s innings were wrapped at 170 runs total sustaining a 32-run defeat. CSK will next lock horns with Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on April 30. While Rajasthan Royals will take on Mumbai Indians on the same day at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
