Ace Indian cricketer KL Rahul is one of the most talked about athletes on social media. While his achievements outnumber the negative feedback against him, some derogatory remarks often affect the frontline batsman who has opened up and spoken regarding the issue.
KL Rahul is going through a lean patch in his career where he has not made the best of the opportunities catered to him. Rahul wasn’t convincing at the T-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia where India was thrashed out in the semifinals. Furthermore, he was dropped after the first two Test matches in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy following his batting debacle.
Just when things seemed to be going fine for the prolific batsman, Rahul sustained a horrific injury in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. Rahul attempted a dive to save a boundary against Royal Challengers Bangalore and was seen limping after suffering with a grievous leg injury.

Rahul was immediately ruled out of the upcoming World Test Championship 2023 Final against Australia which is scheduled to take place in June. Rahul went to undergo surgery overseas and will return to India for a complete recovery and rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
Notably, KL Rahul has always been under the radar of netizens who continually criticize the batsman. Rahul faces severe backlash for his poor strike rate and inconsistent stint. As skipper of Lucknow Super Giants, Rahul managed to score runs but not as per the desired T-20 strike rate. Veteran Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad also came harsh on Rahul for maintaining a poor record.
Responding to the criticism, upset Rahul stated that some things seriously affect him as well as all his other cricketing counterparts because they need the support of fans in order to perform better. Rahul stated that people don’t understand what a person is going through and regardless he pushed on the fact that he always wants to perform the best in the spirit of the game and the country. Rahul is currently undergoing treatment and it is difficult to ascertain his availability for the upcoming World Cup 2023.
