In a recent interview with the media Indian cricketer, Kedar Jadhav has praised MS.Dhoni for supporting him in his career. Kedar Jadhav said, “I could play so many ODIs because of MS.Dhoni’s support”. The three-match ODI series of India with South Africa got postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. While this seems like it is the end of the 35-year-old cricket career, it is absolutely fair to say that Kedar Jadhav had enjoyed a decent 50 over cricket by playing 73 ODIs.
India batsman Kedar Jadhav on Thursday said that he is thankful to his former captain MS.Dhoni who backed him throughout his career and helped him to ply so many One Day International game for the country. ODI specialist Kedar Jadhav was dropped from the squad as the home series of India against South Africa called off in mid due to the increasing spread of COVID-19. It seems like this is the end of the career of the 35-year-old cricketer it would be fair to say Kedar had enjoyed a decent 50 over cricket and had played 73 ODIs.
“ I grown up by watching Sachin Tendulkar’s game, he was my idol like every aspiring cricketer. I regret that I could not play with him. But when it comes to the favourite cricketer, then it is Dhoni”, Kedar Jadhav said during Chennai Super King’s Instagram live chat.
“When I met MS. Dhoni, I thought that he is India’s captain and he would be very strict in terms of discipline but after meeting him I don’t see any other cricketer when it comes to favourite cricketer”, said Kedar Jadhav who has made 1389 runs with two centuries and six fifties for India since making his debut in 2014.
“I could have played 8-10 ODIs but it was Mahi bhai who supported me and he had a calming effect on me. When I see him I get confidence and if you get that kind of confidence from your captain then it helps a lot in your entire career”, Kedar Jadhav said.
Talking about his unique side-arm bowling style, Kedar Jadhav said that he tried this style of bowling during the 2016 New Zealand home series and MS. Dhoni backed him.
Kedar Jadhav is a huge Salman Khan fan and when asked to choose between Salman Khan & MS. Dhoni he replied, “Because of MS.Dhoni I got the chance to play many matches and because of Mahi bhai I got to meet Salman Khan also. So I can’t choose between the two. It’s like asking to make a choice between mummy and daddy”.
