IND vs AUS T20I Series: Indian Cricket team would have some busiest days in the year as after the conclusion of ICC ODI World Cup 2023 the action would immediately shift to T20I format. The marquee event will conclude in November & immediately after that the Indian team will shift their focus to Test & T20Is. They will begin the preparations for T20 World Cup 2024 with South Africa tour & after that, they will probably lock horns with Australia in a five-match T20I series at home in the Jan-Feb window after completing their South Africa tour.
After the conclusion of the ODI World Cup 2023, the Indian team will play five-match T20I series against Australia at home ground. In Jan-Feb 2024, England will play a five-match Test series in India. Later in 2024, Bangladesh (2) & New Zealand (3) will play a tri-lateral series in India.
Indian Team will begin the Preparations for T20 World Cup 2024 with South Africa Tour followed by IND vs AUS T20I Series
After the conclusion of the Asia Cup 2023 & ODI World Cup 2023, the focus of the Indian team will shift to the T20Is with T20 World Cup 2024 in the picture. The Indian team will be led by Hardik Pandya in the marquee event in the USA. Currently, the Indian team will travel to West Indies where they will lock horns with the Caribbean team. And their major focus will be on preparing for Asia Cup & ODI World Cup.
The preparation for T20 World Cup 2024 will begin with the Afghanistan tour of India where they will play three T20Is. After the conclusion of the Afghanistan T20Is the Men in Blue will travel to South Africa for the crucial series against the Proteas. Early in 2024, England will travel to India where they will lock horns with a five-match Test series. In the summer of 2024, the Indian team will travel to Sri Lanka for three ODIs & three T20Is.
After the conclusion of the Sri Lankan tour, India will host Bangladesh & New Zealand for Tests & T20Is. With major ICC events standing next door, India still needs to take major decisions before the commencement of the T20 World Cup 2024. The BCCI & Selectors are aiming to revamp India’s T20I squad by recruiting new players & a new captain in the face of Hardik Pandya. If that’s the case then the future of seniors in the squad remains in jeopardy.

- December: India vs Afghanistan – 3 T20s
- December-January: India Tour of SA (2 Tests, 3 ODI, 3 T20)
- January-March: England Tour of India 2024 (5 Test)
- July: India Tour of Sri Lanka 2024 (3 ODI, 3T20)
- September-October: Bangladesh Tour of India 2024 (2 Test, 3 T20)
- October-November: New Zealand Tour of India 2024 ( 3 Test)
