


India’s young sensation Shafali Verma retained the top spot in the ICC Women’s T20I Rankings while all-rounder Kathryn Bryce became the first Scotland player ever to make it in the top 10 of the ICC T20I Rankings list, Kathryn achieved this remarkable feat after finishing as leading run-scorer form Scotland’s team in a four-match T20I series in Belfast which Ireland won by 3-1 score.
Kathyrn was named as the ICC Women’s Associate Player of the Decade in December & now she has moved up by nine slots to reach the 10th position among the batters in the Women’s T20I Players Rankings. Kathryn’s sister Sarah Bryce was ranked 14th among ICC women’s T20I batters in August 2019 & off-spinner Majid Haq had reached 13th position among the bowlers in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings list in the month of November 2013. These rankings were previously the highest for the Scotland Players.
However, Kathyrn Bryce who amassed 96 runs in the series against Ireland including an unbeaten 45 runs in the third match has achieved her career-best rankings as a bowler & as an all-rounder in the latest ICC T20I Rankings. She has moved up by 35 places to 31st position among the bowlers after scalping five wickets in the series. She has progressed by 10 places to reach the third position among the all-rounders.
Ireland Women’s team gaby Lewis, who was the leading run-scorer in the series by scoring 116 runs is another run-scorer in the latest weekly update progressing up by seven places to reach 27th position in the ICC T20I Rankings. Her teammate Shauna Kavanagh also progressed up by 60 places to reach 103rd position after finishing with 93 runs in the series.
In the ICC T20I bowler’s rankings, Orla Prendergast moved up by 51 places to grab 65th position in the latest ICC T20I rankings. Scotland’s bowlers such as Katherine Fraser, Abtaha Maqsood, Katie McGill & Priyanka Chatterjee have also progressed in the latest ICC T20I Rankings.
