The start of action on Day 3 was interrupted due to sudden rains in the stadium. The field is washed out & wet weather is not permitting the start of game on Day 3 of the 2nd Test Match.
A stunning half century from Mohammad Rizwan has frustrated England on Day 2 of the second test match in Southampton on Friday. Pakistan was limited to 176/8 which left Pakistan’s squad worried. However Rizwan together with Mohammad Abbas has fetched a crucial 39 runs partnership with the ninth wicket down taking Pakistan’s tally to past 200 runs.
In the final session, Stuart removed Abbas to break their partnership before the bad light conditions cut short the game with Pakistan at 223/9. Rizwan was batting at 60 & Pakistan’s squad was looking forward to keep him on field so that they can add more runs to their tally. England today would look forward for a frustrating Day filled with constant interruptions so that they can wind up Pakistan’s Innings as soon as possible.
