


County Cricket resumed after a long coronavirus break on August 1 & on Wednesday in the second match of the county cricket Derbyshire defeated Nottinghamshire with an outstanding three wicket with just one ball left. Derbyshire batsman Michael Cohen scored good runs which helped Derbyshire to win the match by three wickets. County Championship Official twitter account shared the video of the spectacular winning scene by captioning the video as, “When you chase down 365 to beat your local rivals with one ball to spare”.
During the match Derbyshire batsman Flynn Hudson Prentice batted spectacularly & scored an unbeaten 91 runs from 169 balls in the second innings which helped Derbyshire to hail victory. Earlier Derbyshire captain scored 86 runs which set the platform for the team’s victory as the team required 365 runs to win the historic match.
In the first innings of the match, Nottinghamshire scored 324 runs and bowled Derbyshire out for 239. Whereas in the second innings Nottinghamshire managed to score 279 runs as Derbyshire bowlers Samuel Conner’s and Ben Aitcheson picked up three wickets each.
The inauguration of County Cricket started with the first match of Sussex against Hampshire where Sussex managed to score a whopping 94 runs win over Hampshire.
