The IPL 2023 was no less than a roller-coaster ride for Jofra Archer who recently returned to International Cricket earlier in 2023 after staying out of action for a majority period of time. Archer committed to being with Mumbai Indians franchise for the entire IPL 2023 & also featured in the opening fixture of the league. However, due to soreness in his elbow, Archer was sidelined for the next four matches. He recovered from the soreness but was on & off in the Playing XI due to his elbow issue & was forced to fly to Belgium for minor surgery. Now Archer will fly back to England where he will undergo rehabilitation under the supervision of ECB.
“Pushing through the discomfort whilst recently playing, hoping it will settle, has proven challenging,” said ECB in their official press release. “Therefore, it has been agreed for him to return to the UK for a period of rest and rehabilitation to give him the best opportunity for a full recovery.
