England’s fast bowler Chris Jordan has joined MI’s Paltan as a replacement for remaining of the IPL 2023. Jordan was initially unsold at the base price of INR 2 crore during the IPL 2023 Auction held in December 2022. However, in previous editions, he has played for RCB, SRH, PBKS & CSK.
Jordan has enjoyed an illustrious in the cash-rich league by scalping 27 wickets in 28 innings at an average of 30.85 and an economy of 9.32. Jordan has last played in the IPL 2022 for CSK where he scalped two wickets in four matches. Mumbai Indians who had a dismissal season last year have managed to maintain a decent position at the Points table. However, they have been suffering this season due to a spate of injuries. Their pace attack has struggled a lot with Jasprit Bumrah & Jhye Richardson ruled out of the league. While Jofra Archer left the league midway to visit an elbow specialist in Belgium. On the other hand, they got a decent replacement for Richardson in the face of Riley Meredith. Notably, the player whom Jordan has replaced has not been revealed yet.
