Australian Opener Batsman Warner heaps praise on Stuart Broad who is on the verge of achieving 500 Test Wicket mark & would definitely achieve his target today on 5th day of Eng Vs.WI third Test match which is also a decider that will decide which team will win the prestigious Wisden Trophy
Taking a dig on England selectors Warner said that they should drop the paceman often from the test matches so that the paceman gets motivated to show such exemplary performance every time he makes a comeback. Broad is ready to show his rhapsodic performance again today in the fifth day of the third test match against West Indies at Old Trafford.
Broad has always proved his efficiency with bowl whenever he is on the pitch even during the last year’s Ashes, Broad stunned everyone with his outstanding performance. During the Ashes he easily sent Warner back to the pavilion seven times in 10 innings.
Broad’s future in England Cricket team came under doubt when ECB left him out of the first test Match played against West Indies. However Stuart proved their decision wrong by roaring back to form after returning in the second Test match & took team England towards victory in the third test match by registering six wickets on his name & scoring a swashbuckling half century in the first innings.
“I think they should drop him again,” said left-handed batsman Warner, who had a tough time against Broad and scored just 95 runs at an average of 9.5 during the 2019 series.
“I don’t know why they dropped him for that first game but it’d be nice if I was to play there again and he wasn’t playing,” Warner told reporters.
Warner said that Broad performance was remarkable in the past one & a half year & he could not understand why he was omitted in the first test match.
Warner further hailing Broad’s performance said, “I think he’s a world-class bowler. In the past 18 months he’s really worked hard on pitching the ball up. He’s obviously got a hell of a record against left-handers and his capability to bring the ball back off the wicket into the right-hander is another string to his bow.”
