Former India Captain, Virat Kohli went frenzy over the efforts of Rashid Khan who took an amazing diving catch to dismiss power-hitter Kyle Mayers. After watching Rashid Khan’s stunning efforts Virat Kohli took to his social media handle to applaud the prolific spinner.
Notably, Gujarat Titans managed 227 runs on board in the first innings. Saha (81) & Shubman (94*) guided the Titans to IPL’s highest total to date. In reply, LSG got off to a blistering start as Kyle Mayers & De Kock went all blazing guns right from the start of their innings. Quinton De Kock who has featured in this season’s first fixture gave LSG a blastic start along with partner Kyle Mayers.
The pair managed to amass 50 runs off 24 balls & helped LSG to score a decent 72 runs total in six overs. However, the Titans managed to break their chain by dismissing in-form batter Mayers for 48 runs off 32 balls in innings embellished with seven fours & two sixes at a strike rate of 150.00
During the second over of the ninth ball, the swashbuckling pacer Mohit Sharma bowled a slower bouncer which Mayers got a top edge while hitting a pull shot. Rashid Khan showed an aerobatic move by taking a dive from 26 meters but eventually lost control while running & slid. But he eventually took a stunning catch to send Mayers packing. The effort impressed Virat Kohli who didn’t stay behind to applaud the Afghan spinner.

Saha-Shubman’s bliztkreig laid the foundation of Gujarat’s win
The stunning efforts displayed by Saha & Shubman helped Gujarat to pull off a mind-blowing victory. The match unfolded with LSG winning the toss & opting to bowl first. But Saha’s (81) & Gill’s (94) blistering efforts guided Titans to 227 runs total. The duo stitched a formidable 100-run stand for the first wicket to help the Titans maintain their monopoly at the top spot. None of the Lucknow players could match their prowess with a ball or bat. As a result, Gujarat pulled off a massive 56-run win over Lucknow.
