Former Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir has been ruled out of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021-22 as he has tested positive for COVID-19. The pacer was a part of the Bangla Tigers franchise but after testing positive for COVID-19 he won’t feature in the Tournament.
Mohammad Amir took to social media to announce his unavailability in the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021-2022 due to COVID-19. He also urged his fans to pray for his speedy recovery.
“Hi everyone just wanted to say m I am not playing T10 league this year because I got affected with the covid but now I am fine ALHUMDULILLAH just need prayers for the speedy recovery”, Mohammed Amir tweeted.
Mohammad Amir has earlier announced retirement from international cricket in 2020. However, he soon reversed his decision by claiming that he is ready to come out of retirement in June this year. Amir has been a regular player in the T20 leagues across the globe & his absence could prove costly for the Bangla Tigers team.
A Glimpse of Bangla Tigers in Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021-22
Bangla Tigers have roped in a few prominent players for the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021-22. Big guns such as Faf du Plessis, Andre Fletcher, James Faulkner, and Johnson Charles will play for the Bangla Tigers in the T10 tournament in the UAE. The franchise has roped in former Australian batsman Stuart Law as the new head coach & former India Captain Mohammad Azharuddin as the brand ambassador.
The Abu Dhabi T10 League will commence from November 19 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Bangla Tigers will face Team Abu Dhabi in the second fixture of the tournament on the opening day of the tournament.
