


Kolkata Knight Riders batsman, Nitish Rana has posted a hopeful message for his fans on his Twitter handle as the nationwide lockdown was extended till 3rd May earlier on 14th April by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Nitish Rana is a crucial part of the KKR team. Nitish Rana like other cricketers and athletes is following the strict guidelines issued by the Government as the nation fights with the novel COVID-19 Pandemic. Nitish Rana has recently posted a hopeful message on twitter which said, “Don’t lose your heart, Sun will rise again. This time won’t last forever #Indiafightscorona, see you soon @KKRiders”. The left-handed batsman has been an integral part of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise since the year 2018. He has started his career with the Mumbai Indians team in the year 2015.
However, Nitish Rana came into limelight in the year 2017 when he smashed 33 runs in just 13 games for the Mumbai Indians team. After that Nitish Rana was ready for next year’s IPL auction as the Mumbai Indians franchise had released him. As soon as the Mumbai Indians team released him, KKR saw it as an opportunity and immediately bought the left-handed batsman for a total sum of Rs 3.4 crores. Since then he has been a major part of the KKR team. With all the sporting events coming to a pause in the county allthe Indians were hoping to watch the IPL 2020. However, Prime Minister announced that the country is extending the lockdown till 3rd May 2020 in order to fight with this deadly virus. So it is more obvious that the IPL leagues which were all ready to begin fro April15, 2020 will also be pushed back as the nation battles with COVID-19 Pandemic.
