


Chennai Super King players are very much inspired by the commitment of Dhoni towards his game. Ms.Dhoni’s intensity towards the game is spectacular and it was seen with his serious training sessions during the IPL Camp at Chennai, praised CSK players.
CSK players have always praised Dhoni’s commitment towards cricket and his leadership skills as a spearheaded captain of CSK. The three-time Champions of IPL, CSK have started their training session on March 2nd with Dhoni joining the training camp from Day one but it was called off in mid on March 14 due to the novel Coronavirus Outbreak.
Piyush Chawla Dhoni’s teammate in CSK said that Dhoni was quite focused and showed match like intensity and commitment in the way he was batting and wicket-keeping during the IPL 2020 training camp at Chennai.
Piyush quoted on CSK Official website, “Mahi bhai was absolutely focused, training extraordinarily and was looking fit and really good. He was showing match like intensity in the way he was batting and keeping which was inspiring others”.
Karn Sharma another leg spinner of CSK squad said that the CSK captain’s enthusiasm and involvement in the game were a source of inspiration for the other members, “Mahi bhai was batting for almost two to three hours at nets every day and the way he was hitting the ball no one can say that he was returning to cricket from a long break. The way he was training was a huge motivation and inspiration for all of us”, he added.
“During match simulations he was very focused and involved, speaking to the bowlers and the rhythm he was bringing in it was a big boost for our team”, Sharma said.
Lakshmipathy Balaji, CSK bowling coach praised Dhoni and said that he was clearly working hard to give a powerpack comeback in this IPL season. “MS.Dhoni is extremely fit and a natural athlete. The way he was training it seemed like he was never away from the game. He was clearly looking forward to performing well in the coming season, the way he was training, wicket-keeping and being involved with the team defined his commitment for the game”, Balaji added.
Meanwhile, CSK physiotherapist Tommy Simsek said that is was the first time n Dhoni’s 10 years career that he saw Dhoni doing wicket-keeping practice. “It was the first time in ten years that Dhoni is doing wicket keeping training and this clearly indicates that he was very much focused and keen to play IPL’s 13th edition”, Tommy quoted.
“I was worried that MS.Dhoni is practicing so hard he may not get injured as he was away from the game for a long time but he assured me that there is no need to worry he is absolutely fine and ready to nail it”, Tommy added.
Talking about IPL 2020, it seems like due to the further extend in the tenure of lockdown in most of the states the 13th edition of IPL is most likely to be called off till next year.
